The month of Sya'aban is here. Well, at least on my side of the world :) Alhamdulillah, we are a month closer to Ramadhan. I can't wait for a whole month full of blessings and the many doors of forgiveness to be wide open for all of us :) May Allah answer all of our prayers :)
‘A’isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) did not observe fast in any month of the year more than in the month of Syaaban, and used to say: Do as many deeds as you are capable of doing, for Allah will not become weary (of giving you reward), but you would be tired (of doing good deeds) ; and he also said: The deed liked most by Allah is one to which the doer adheres constantly even if it is small."
Hence, let us not neglect this month of Sya'aban & fast as much as we can in efforts to prepare for the month of Ramadhan. InshaAllah, Allah will accept our fasts & answer our Dua's.
I have once read on an Islamic forum that Rejab is the month of Allah whilst Syaaban is the month of Rasulullah & Ramadhan is the month of the Ummah.
Allahu 3alam but should it be that Syaaban really is the month of the beloved Prophet saw, let us not forget Him in our supplications & offer salawat as we get on with our days.
I have read in the Kitaab Bidayatul Hidayah by Imam Ghazali that when a person offers selawat once, Allah will selawat upon him ten times.
SubhanaAllah :)
May Allah grant us barakah & answer all of our fasts & prayers in this blessed month of Syaaban. Ameen ya rabb :)
Allahumma bariklana fi rajab w sya3ban w balighna ramadhan.
A'qilah Saiere.
