Prayer is Power;

For yourself, for your parents, for your siblings, for your extended family - yes, even the ones that you've always known but never met but related nonetheless, for your friends and their families, for your brothers and sisters in Islam, for all of the non-Muslims in the world;

For Japan, for New Zealand, Hawaii, Indonesia; For Palestine, Libya, Egypt, Bahrain, Yemen, Saudi;

For the WORLD that Allah has blessed us with.

In His most gracious name, Let us all beg for His mercy.

A very very wise person once told me that in Islam there is no such thing as “Human rights” – it’s human responsibilities. A hand is responsible for another hand, an eye is responsible for another eye; a heart is responsible for another heart.

I don’t think any of us realise the importance of our presence in each other’s lives do we? We all speak about how important it is for us to stand up for the oppressed but haven’t we realised that the reason why these people have lost their rights to humanity is because the people who are responsible for their well-being did not fulfil their obligations towards these people. Of people in Palestine – the leaders of the Ummah &/ the Ummah, of people in Africa – their leaders, of the aborted babies – their mothers, of the children from dysfunctional families – their parents; of the poor – the rich, of the oppressed – the liberated.

It makes total sense doesn’t it? It makes so much sense that we all have a part to play in each other’s lives.
